We are proud to announce the addition of the amazing Periolase™ MVP-7 to our practice. Laser Periodontal Therapy™ is a laser-based technique for the treatment of periodontal (gum) disease. This gentle FDA approved procedure can regenerate lost gum and bone attachment to teeth with much less discomfort than traditional scalpel based treatment.

Diagnodent™
Finding Hidden Cavities
Recent studies have found that Diagnodent™, Laser Cavity Detecting System to be more accurate than an explorer to find hidden cavities in the grooves of teeth. The human eye, a dental explorer and even radiographs can't detect many forms of hidden cavities until they have created extensive damage to the tooth. By detecting decay at it's earliest possible stage we can treat the infected tooth, preventing unnecessary loss of vital structure or loss of the tooth itself. We can also verify that a merely stained groove is healthy - and not in need of treatment. Best of all, the Diagnodent™ Laser uses no x-radiation, only a small light similar to a laser pointer. The Diagnodent™ has been awarded the seal of acceptance from the American Dental Association.

Digital X-Rays
Reducing Radiation
Our office uses digital x-ray technology offering advantages to our patients and staff. Radiation dosage is reduced by 75% while providing high quality images required by our standards for diagnosis. Instant images require no harmful chemicals for developing, like films do, therefore benefiting our environment. Our computer software is equipped with Logicon™ System. This system scans between teeth for changes in density allowing for more accurate determination of necessary treatment. Often detection of minute decay can be conservatively treated with fluoride.

Previsor™
Predicting Gum Health
Our Office is now using the Previsor™ periodontal risk assessment program. Most of us know our cholesterol score and can use that number to help keep our hearts healthy. This system uses data already collected on our records to compare against a large database and generate a numerical score. This data is updated at each cleaning appointment and compared to monitor improving or worsening gum health. The program can, based on your data, predict future risk and which therapies are most effective to restore health.
